GEORGIAN FAMILY HOME IN SHEPHERD’S BUSH

A key priority for our clients was bringing the outside in, as the main living space is located on the lower ground floor.  We removed all internal walls on the ground floor and installed large skylights to let the light flood through. We used strong colour including glazed yellow tiles to add brightness and reflect light. Pattern and texture featured too, and a bespoke internal planted trellis wall create a welcoming home full of warmth and character.

Our favourite detail /

The first floor roof terrace creates an enviable master bedroom with views over the garden.

The result /

A huge space is made to feel warm and homely with clever zoning, interesting textures and uplifting colours.

Kitchen island with overhang, to allow for stool seating below, is beautifully designed with dark blue wooden cabinets and white marble top and colourful, metal, pendants above

Georgie’s project thoughts/

A play space that opens onto the garden but is also visible from the kitchen island is ideal for keeping an eye on young children.
