EDWARDIAN FAMILY HOME IN EAST SHEEN

To create this kitchen extension we dug down to give the space added height and allow for oversized glazing that provides outstanding views and access to the garden. Our client needed a utility room, and similar projects on the road had added one down the side of the rear extension, resulting in a long narrow kitchen space. Our solution was to place it centrally within the plan which is the darker space, allowing for a full width kitchen, semi-open pantry and cosy seating booth. Upstairs in the loft we built a dormer conversion with full height steel doors and Juliet balcony to create a spacious and luxurious master suite.

Our favourite detail /

The dormer extension not only creates a spacious master suite, but with feature glazing and pre-aged vertically hung tiles it becomes an attractive external feature of the property – not always the case with dormers!

The result /

An innovative approach to positioning the utility room maximises space and light and creates a standout interior design.

Our clients say /

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend H+H. Debbie understood what we wanted to achieve straight away, and ensured we maximised space and light. She also suggested interior finishes which we are delighted with and really make our house feel special. The process ran so smoothly, and we are thrilled with the result.
